Welcome from the Club Chair

“I would take this opportunity to thank the continuous effort and commitment from each of our volunteers who give up their valuable time on evenings and weekends to ensure we give all our players an opportunity to play the sport they love.

We’ve had various successes over this past season, new teams starting, teams gaining new players, winning leagues, cup finals. On our boy’s side, we’ve, developed players to form a new U10 team ready for the 2020/21 season. Special mention to our girls Team Emeralds U16 for winning their cup final in quality match.

The 2019/20 season was fraught with serious challenges especially with the constant Storms and heavy rain for two thirds of the season and this really punished our pitches and we had numerous games postponed. Following on from that we had the huge challenges for the Covid -19 pandemic which saw all Football activities stopped and all the leagues being expunged, and absolutely no training for any of our teams during lockdown.

I also want to highlight here what superb parents we have within the club with a large number of them continuing the pay their subscriptions even though they did not have too over the Pandemic. We cannot thank them enough for this help in this critical time as they have allowed the Club to keep paying the bills as they never stop no matter what.

We’ve now gained a Men’s and Ladies adult teams both playing on Sundays which gives the Club a line of progression from Mini Kickers through the age groups to Adult Football. These adult teams are always looking to recruit players so dust off your boots and go along to a training session as I am sure you would be made very welcome.

2020 also saw the club being Designated a FA Wildcats Centre in Milton Keynes to support girls of all ages to come and play football to all the girls out there why not come and try football it is great fun.

We are looking to recruit players of all ages and abilities in and around West Bletchley and Milton Keynes to come and play football we have a number of coaches in training and are always looking for more to support the club to provide football for all ages, so please get in touch if this is something you would like to know more about. We have the facilities and the capacity to increase the number of teams we have and are willing to set up new teams in any age group depending on demand.

I’d like to thank each player, parent, coach, admin, and manager for their commitment and support to MK City, I’m sure this will continue into the future and support improving and promoting the Club.

I’m thrilled and excited to start my second season as chairman and of course to see each team achieve and develop even more together. Wishing all those involved in MK City FC a successful 2020/21 season.”
