Tournaments this weekend were all about the girls as we had a few teams participate in the Daventry Tournament. We had a variety of age groups attending. Congratulations to our Crystals team for bringing home the silverware. See their report below!
Our newly named Orange (Mens) team had their first pre-season friendly … SPOILER ALERT … they did well!

U18 Crystals travelled to Daventry to play in the Open Age/Ladies tournament with nothing to lose, as the U18 age group was cancelled, which meant many Crystals players playing up at least two years. In scorching conditions, they performed well in the group, against much older and more experienced and physical opposition, losing a couple, drawing and winning their other group games. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough to enter the Top Knockout tournament, but they were entered the Lower knockout tournament, and went on to win the final, on Penalties! Great achievement for the girls, most of which she still only 16 yrs of age, playing against well established ladies teams.

Ladies team did brilliantly today managing to get to the semi final of the top tier cup competition at Daventry today. The ladies really settled in the tournament after a slow start they grew from strength to strength. Only narrowingly missing out on a place in the final on penalties.

Jets got off to a loss but we quickly recovered in game 2 with a well earned draw followed by 2 good victories. We went into the Semis and then lost 1-0 in a game we dominated.
Great team work by all. Two of my players where also scouted by a Leicester City scout so watch this space.

Orange Boys played their first friendly of pre season this morning and ran out a 4-2 win! Slow start for the first 10 saw the boys go behind in the heat ☀️ once we started playing our way the goals started coming!
