MK City turned up with only 6 players available. With no subs and a player short meant the girls had to work extremely hard to try and compete in the game. The game started with 7v6, Aylesbury having most of the ball in the opening couple of minutes. Jades defended well and couple of good saves from Ava who was in GK, not long into the game Aylesbury opened the scoring. First quarter ended 1-0. Second quarter started, Jades warmed up to the game and started to get control of the game. Shanae carrying to ball from one half to the other numerous times and the girls started to get shots off. Summer, Francesca, and Emma came close to scoring in quick succession. Girls kept believing and started to create more chances which saw Shanae scoring to make it 1-1 from summer’s pass. Few minutes later Jades went 2-1 up Shanae scoring again, Summer setting up both goals. Second quarter end 2-1.

Few minutes into the third quarter Ava scored, with Emma getting the assist this time. Aylesbury created some good chances which saw them scoring from one of them. Fourth quarter began, both teams were tired especially Jades having to play the whole game 7v6, Francesca made 1 crucial save towards the end of the game and despite being a player short Jades came away with the win. Super proud of all the girls today.
Player of the Match: Shanae – scored twice and fantastic defending through the game.

Topaz (U10)
MK Topaz under 10 girls played Moretonville under 10 girls today in a tough game. The opponents took control of the game early but the girls did well to bring it back with Katie getting a goal back for Topaz.
We’ll done to Lilly for being manager’s players and well done to Layla for getting parents player. Keep up your good work girls you have become a great team.

Jaguars (U12)
The U12 Jaguars season drew to a close with a home tie against MK United.
Both teams were playing to win and it was a great competition from start to finish. Both continued to press but it was the Jaguars that struck first on 18 minutes – a great ball in from Riley with Jeremy applying a confident finish for his 4th of the season. It was only a matter of minutes before MK United struck – a weighted ball swung into the far corner. MKU then added a second a few minutes later with a thunderous angled short into the roof of the net.
The second half continued in much the same way and even though it was a warm day, both teams put in maximum effort. Despite this, the 2nd half remained goal-less and MK United finished as 2-1 winners. Well done to MK United – they are a great team with some fantastic players and coaches.
It’s been a long first season for the Jaguars and much like everything else in life – there are high and lows! The team have battled on through the lows and relished the highs – enjoying their football, making friends and developing their skills along the way. They finished with smiles all round and some fantastic memories of a season to remember. The Jaguars move into the summer with a new manager and a real energy for the coming season as they move up to 11-a-side football.
Well done Jaguars and thank you – it’s been a privilege to be part of this journey and all at MK City Football Club are proud of you.
