Let’s hear it for the girls! This week’s round up is an all female report showcasing our awesome girls teams at MK City FC. As the season starts to round up we’re proud of all our male and female teams. Well done EVERYONE!
Reminder – in accordance with FA rules we do not publish the results of teams participating in U7 to U11 games. We celebrate effort, teamwork and participation in the younger teams.

Today Diamonds lined up against one of our rivals in the shape of Bedford every time we meet the game is played with passion and determination and neither team ever wants to lose. Today’s game despite finishing 0-0 was certainly one of our best meetings.
With holidays and injury’s, we knew we was going to be on the back foot against a very strong Bedford and we made the tactical decision to play a compact back four and midfield four to not allow any space in and around our box. The girls took on our instructions and played a faultless match every girl did their job and worked hard for each other, and we even looked dangerous on the break and almost nicked a winner.
Overall, not a beautiful game but a very mature and well-earned point. Very proud of the girls today and lots of positive lessons learned on how to defend going into a tough end of the season.
Player of the match was Asha who bossed the midfield for the entire match.
Topaz (U10) sponsored by MK Loft Boarding

Pearls (U8) sponsored by Mini Monsters
Pearls were on the road again this weekend with a trip to Tring, in the brilliant sunshine. Last time Tring held the Pearls to a draw at home and the Pearls just lost out last time away. Four players missing through holidays and illness meant the Pearls only took six players to play.
The Pearls had been practicing their passing and moving, transitioning from defence to attack over the past 3 weeks at training. Now was the first opportunity to really put their hard work to the test! It was also a chance for the Pearls latest signing Nia to have her first taste of competitive football.
The Pearls came out the blocks firing on all pistons and after just 10 minutes the unstoppable Miami had already scored a hat trick. With Nia providing the assists.
Miami continued with a fantastic individual performance grabbing the double hat trick with a total of 7 goals. With Nia providing 3 assists.
Nia came agonisingly close to scoring on her debut and Holly rattled the crossbar. With Robyn just getting the ball stuck under her feet. Another solid effort by Rosie persistent in chasing possession of the ball.
The last moments being so far ahead gave a chance to try a new formation which didn’t work out. With Tring able to take a few consolation goals. Pearls are now looking live a really sharp side in attack. Lots learned onto the next game!

Our Semi-final clash against a strong Newport Pagnell ended in a 2-0 loss. Our girls played very well, and our goalkeeper Florence with a Girl of the Match performance was the star of the day with many saves.
