Another busy weekend for the club on and off the pitch for current and former players. The club is so proud that former Crystals player Isobel Lane made her senior debut for Tottenham Hotspur Women against Arsenal. She certainly made herself known on the pitch with one goal and one assist!

The club was also making itself known at the MK Dons ground this weekend as The Grinch represented MK City in the mascot race at the Dons Family Fun Day. No, I’m not talking about Club Chairman Simon Galbraith … the ACTUAL Grinch! 😉

Now I’m not saying that the Grinch didn’t perform well in the mascot race, but we are looking to put a training plan in place for next year 🤣 … and we’re focusing on the £75 raised for the club charity, MK Food Bank. The Grinch is now back at home at Festy Charity Mascots resting up.
Reminder – in accordance with FA rules we do not publish the results of teams participating in U7 to U11 games. We celebrate effort, teamwork and participation in the younger teams.
Jades (U10) sponsored by TCS
Super proud of the Jades today! Even though we were missing 2 of our key players the rest of the girls did so well against strong Aylesbury Greens U10 team. We have created so many chances and could’ve scored more but unfortunately wasn’t to be today. A lot to work on in training moving forward. 👏🏽
Player of the match was Emma, amazing work rate, created so many chances, great crossing.

Hawks (U16) sponsored by ARO Installations
MK City U16 Hawks had to fight back each half to draw (2-2) away to last year league champions Tattenhoe U16 FC. It was a tough battle as U16 Hawks were missing their key player Imran. Goals from Emmanuel Adjei and Krisztian saved the day. I will say the boys battled to get a point today. Well done Hawks 👏
Saints (U8)
Saints faced MK Wanderers U8 Hawks in a friendly at Kents Hill, following the cancellation of their previously scheduled home fixture against Steeple Claydon U8.
Following last week’s performance away at Silverstone, it was important to continue the momentum and progress by getting game time and that is why Saints played an away Friendly, arranged at short notice, following cancellation of their home match.
We started the match on a high tempo, with Isaac leading the charge as our striker and scoring a goal in no time. This was followed by a hattrick of goals from Daniel, who was at his effervescent best. A defensive lapse meant we conceded a goal towards the end of the quarter.
In the 2nd quarter, Vivaan Vuppala made his debut for the team as a defender. The quarter started with Saints dominating position and Vivaan doing some good clearances, whenever challenged. As the quarter progressed, there was constant pressure on the Hawks’ goal and after a few close opportunities, Vivaan Udyawar scored a goal. Hawks did a number of substitutions during this quarter, possibly to give game time to all their players. At half time, Saints were comfortably placed and seemed to be running away with the match.
Football at U8 level is about everybody enjoying on the pitch, falling in love with the game and feeling good. With this in mind, we completely tossed up the team set-up for the 3rd quarter. Daniel, who usually plays upfront, went in as our Goalkeeper. Sai, our defence specialist, went in as striker, with Kaison and Henil doing midfield duties. Defence was held up by our debutant player Vivaan V. This quarter resulted in goals from both sides and also a couple of Own goals from the Hawks.
Quarter 4 commenced with Daniel back in strike and resulted in another hattrick for him. Hawks also scored a goal and the game ended with end-to-end ball play from both sides. The last two quarters also saw the continued high frequency of substitutions from Hawks.
For Saints, this was a good opportunity to test our players across different positions and they all shone brightly. The tackling and shot taking skills of the entire team is much improved. Work is ongoing on our passing skills, glimpses of which were seen during the match.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable match, with every player on both sides getting good game time. These experiences will no doubt help shape the players, for tougher challenges in the upcoming league matches.
Player of the match was Daniel Milford for his adaptability in playing in any position for the team and scoring two hattricks.

Lightning (U9) sponsored by Top Diner
Lightning hosted Woburn in a very even U9 Holland encounter. The match was a classic with great determination shown from the first whistle right through to the last whistle.
There was some nail biting moments for both teams as the ball was pinging around the goal on numerous occasions but the defence and goalkeepers stood strong.
The match ended with both teams and coaches congratulating each other on a strong display.
Man of the match went to Barney who put in an amazing display.
Well done Lightning and thanks to Woburn for a very sporting encounter.
Lions (U16) sponsored by Makewell
This was a very competitive match, both sides had goals disallowed in the first half and the game was very even between the two teams.
Second half Lions really turned up the heat maintaining the majority of possession and really putting the pressure and this was a huge improvement for the team compared to other recent performances.
With the clock showing 10 mins left one of the Lions wingers (Lewis Galbraith) sprinted to take possession of the ball at which point he just collapsed to the ground in agony.
The game was abandoned (0-0) as an ambulance was required. Lewis was taken to hospital where it was found he has fractured his hip and will be out for 6-10 weeks and is on crutches.
I would like to thank Great Linford & the MKDDL Chairman who could not have done more to support and help with the situation we found ourselves in. Also a thank you to Great Linford and Mursley North Bucks Teams for their understanding as we also delayed their KO.

Tigers (U7) sponsored by DH Construction
What another smashing game by the MK City Tigers … roaaaaaarrr! 🐯. In a Tigers vs Lions match against EB Lions the goals were flying in from both teams! Both Tigers and Lions were really well matched and fought through the entire game.
Frankie and Fraser scored some great goals with near misses and great assists by Ryan and Hudson.
The Lions had so many shots on target and super goalie “sticky hands” Rohan kept knocking them away. That’s why he’s our man of the match! 👏

Sapphires (U12) sponsored by BQI protection
First round of the county cup against Chesham who are currently top of their Bucks division.
Sapphires started the game well creating lots of chances against a good Chesham side but only managed to go in at half time 2-1 up (both goals coming from Ava Martuccio).
We only had 9 players available today and it told second half. Sapphires we’re not able to maintain their energetic start to the game and conceded 2 goals. Despite their best efforts they couldn’t quite manage an equaliser to take it to extra time. Great effort from all the girls again. Good luck to Chesham in the next round.
Final score 3-2 to Chesham.
Mens (Saturdays) North Bucks League
WHAT A RESULT!
MK City knew they had to win this game with Woburn having a couple games on us but the boys put an unbelievable shift in to maintain there top of the league status!
Saturday team came out on top in their top of the table clash, putting last weekend’s disappointing performance to bed by beating fellow title contenders Woburn 2-1 at Derwent. The result puts City 5 points clear at the top.
A first half strike from Brandon Whalley put City 1 up going in to the break. Woburn hit back deep into the second half but City wouldn’t give up and Sam Killeen scored a late winner.
On to Deanshanger next week ⚽️⚽️⚽️

U12 Jaguars lost 6-1 to top of the table Bletchley Scot but fought every step of the way. 4-0 down at half-time but they got better as the game went on and made Scots work for every ball.
They did the club proud ⚽😉👍
