We’re looking for more volunteers who are interested in becoming coaches. You wouldn’t believe how many young people are looking for teams to play in but most of our teams are full up! It’s a nice problem to have but we want to enable more young people to play the game they love. If you’re interested in becoming a coach please email info@mkcityfc.co.uk
Reminder – in accordance with FA rules we do not publish the results of teams participating in U7 to U11 games. We celebrate effort, teamwork and participation in the younger teams.
HAWKS (U16) SPONSORED BY ARO Installations
U16 Hawks once again fought back from 2 goals down as last week. The first half was poor but the effort in the second half was commendable. Woburn u16 won 2-1 in the end. Abisoye got the only goal for Hawks. U16 Hawks can play for a second position in the division 1 league as last season. Finish the race strong lads.

Lightning (U9) sponsored by Top Diner
MK City Lightning U9 played out a thrilling and tense match against Woburn Hurricanes.
It was a classic game of U9 football, with great skills on show alongside a great deal of passion and commitment from every player on the pitch. Mason grabbed two goals for Lightning, one in either half, with the second one coming with just over a minute remaining.
The Woburn goalkeeper performed a number of amazing saves, well done to him and the Lightning defence had to stand strong against a Woburn corner with the last action of the game.
Man of the match for Lightning was Mason, and thanks to his Dad Simon for kindly refereeing the game, it really is appreciated.
Well done Lightning and Hurricanes, a truly great advert for U9 football!
Jades (U10) sponsored by TCS
MK City U10 Jades welcomed Moretonville Swifts U10s today. Jades started the game really well as they dominated possession and winning their individual battles.
Jades created some good chances in front of goal but was unable to convert them. The girls were missing 2 key players today but with only having 1 sub they did a brilliant job, working hard, passing and moving to space and communicating. The girls did themselves proud and worked really hard as a team.
Player of the match: Summer – She normally our striker but she had to play in midfield as we were missing players. She did a brilliant job in midfield.

Crystals (U18) SPONSORED BY J CRESSWELL LANDSCAPING
U18 Crystals played away at Tattenhoe today, the first game in the Beds league Div 2 Spring season. Dominated the game from start to finish, removing players to keep the scoreline respectable, but Crystals ran out 7-0 winners, with goals from Rozalia Zycinska (4), Megan Pugh, Kiera Footman and player of the match Hope Elverson.
Pearls (U8) sponsored by Mini Monsters
Another fantastic game to watch as the Pearls travelled to an inform Bedford side. Pearls started off very strong with some excellent passing and moving. Two goals from Miami saw the Pearls enter the second half in front.
The second half saw Bedford come back on the attack with some last ditch defensive efforts from Holly and Vega. However with another person of the match performance Crystal was on fire in goal with several diving saves and blocks to keep the Bedford attack out.
Amelia-Terry, Robyn and Rosie all contributed to an all round excellent performance by the Pearls.
Jaspers SPONSORED BY BRIOCHE PASQUIER
Today was the Jaspers’ second game together and the game was full of goals, excitement and a very friendly atmosphere from both teams! The girls are getting better and better as the weeks go on in training and it’s very much showing on the field with how much of a bond all the girls have.
Well done today for Gracie for being awarded both parents’ and manager’s player of the match (which the Luton girls picked) and the girls can’t wait for there next game.

Wolves (U9) Sponsored by ANV MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS
Wolves took on Southcott on a blustery morning, in the first half going against the wind Wolves conceded a penalty and fell behind but still created numerous chances albeit without finding the net.
In the second half Wolves pushed and now with the wind behind us grabbed the equaliser with Dries scoring in his third successive match. Wolves pushed all the way to the end but found the Southcott keeper in fine form.
Our own keeper, Flynn, made some excellent saves as Southcott played on the break and deservedly took home the Man of the Match award for an excellent performance to keep our unbeaten start to the season intact.
Magpies (U14) sponsored by J Cresswell
Magpies had an emphatic return to winning ways with a very controlled 3-1 home victory over Olney Town Colts Hawks. Magpies took a 1-0 lead with a goal scored by Zeph) going into half-time, having also had a goal chalked off for being offside a minute or so before the whistle.
The second-half again had plenty of possession for Magpies. However, a lapse in concentration saw an Colts run through the middle mis-controlled by stand-in goalkeeper, Theo (normally a defender by trade). The ball agonisingly spun over the line before it was stopped.
Magpies immediately retaliated with a second goal coming from Dylan, in the first attack from the kick-off. Fazal finally put the icing on the cake, sealing the 3-1 victory with a thunderous long-range shot from outside the box. The Colts goalkeeper managed to get hands to it but was unable to keep it out due to its power and placement.
The win sees Magpies return to 3rd position in the league above Deanshanger Colts again.
SAPPHIRES (U12) SPONSORED BY BQI PROTECTION
Sapphires played Biggleswade again and put in another excellent display.
The girls started the game very well, the way they are beginning to keep the ball at times is so good to watch and it was one such move that resulted in the first goal, the ball got worked out to the left to Shania Ismail who closed in on goal and had a left foot shot which the keeper saved, but Grace McCormack was on hand to tap into an empty net. Half time 1-0.
Biggleswade started the second half brightly, Charlotte Stevens in goal and the back line of Amelie Taft, Tilly Allen and Ruby Harmony Grace Buckingham had a period of pressure to deal with from the visitors and did a great job of it.
Sapphires were still creating chances too, Shania went close on a couple of occasions but it was Ava who added to their tally following a cross from Grace M, Ava scored on her second attempt.
Ava added a third with a sublime lobbed finish and Grace M finished off the scoring, controlling the ball on the edge of the box from a corner and smashing a half volley into the top corner.
Final score 4-0. Another impressive performance from the girls.
Lions (U16) sponsored by Makewell
U16 lions fought hard in their game drawing 1-1 Against Woburn. 1-0 down at half time we decided to change the formation after switching off a few times. We went to a 4-3-3 and dominated the game from there onwards. We came back 1-1 and had a few chances to for a winner but just wasn’t clinical enough.
The best part of the draw was the improvement from the last few weeks. The boys have massively improved and look like a force against their remaining opponents.

Willen park 0 – 3 MK city ‘A’
After a slow start to the game city went 1-0 up thanks to a deflection and bobble over the keepers foot. Trying to get the ball moving in the weather conditions proved difficult but city managed to create another chance and thanks to some miscommunication from the opposition defender city’s 17. Powfil finished the move off taking the ball round the keeper and into the net.
The second half was more off a throw in session as the ball caught the wind from every goal kick, and the game got scrappy with City unable to find a rhythm, 9. Finch managed to create one more goal with a perfectly weighted ball through for 8. Norman to finish the game off. MOTM went to 14. Bevans who was solid throughout had a massive hand in creating the first goal and made some superb last ditch tackles to keep the clean sheet.
