MK Lightning U9 played two games, first up on Saturday was a visit from Aspley Guise Wolves to our Derwent Drive home.
An entertaining game in which there was great football on display from both teams, the watching parents were treated to some great skills that at times defied the young players ages.
Man of the match for Lightning was Harrison and Mason and Flynn shared the goals.
Alfie in goal made a number of brave saves and the Lightning defence worked tirelessly to support the midfield and strikers.
Well done boys!
On Sunday, Lightning travelled to Bedford to take on Bedford Town FC in a friendly encounter.
The boys had a great day and displayed some immense passing and moving skills.
Theo made his debut and was outstanding and man of the match went to hat trick hero James.
Hard working winger Liam was also on the scoresheet scoring a great goal from a well worked corner.
The whole team worked really hard in hot sunshine and fully deserved the plaudits from the parents at the end!.
Thanks to Bedford Town for being great hosts.
Manager David Graves and coaches Jack and Rob are very proud of the teams efforts, well done Lightning ⚡️
